Bill Robertson Toyota nominated for MTA Queensland’s Community award

A long-serving Gladstone automotive business was recently nominated for a prestigious award.

The Motor Trades Association of Queensland recently announced Bill Robertson Toyota Gladstone as a nominee for a Community Award. The MTA Queensland’s community award will be presented to an individual or member business who is a role model in their community.

Bill Robertson Toyota dealership principle James Robertson said he was surprised and grateful the business was nominated for the award.

“We heard last week that we had been nominated and it just came out of the blue and not something we were really expecting,” Mr Robertson said. “If we won it would be some recognition for the community work we do, we enjoy participating in a number of different community events and ensuring we can give back.

“We have proud and long-term partnerships with a number of different community clubs including the Gladstone Suns AFL, charities such as Roseberry and a whole lot more smaller contributions.”

MTA Group CEO Rod Camm said it was extremely exciting to see the sheer talent, ingenuity and spirit on display from its members throughout the Queensland automotive industry.

“ The industry has experienced extraordinarily difficult conditions over the last 18 months at the hands of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to be able to bring the industry together to recognise our member businesses who have gone above and beyond is incredibly important,” Mr Camm said. “I look forward to celebrating the success of all our finalists at the Industry Awards Gala on Saturday 20th November in Brisbane.”
